Join with me this year as we read the Bible in chronological order.  This is not a book-by-book reading of the Bible, but instead follows the events in the Bible as they happened in history.

You may also want to visit Wendy Pope's blog with me.  She will be holding discussions each day about the material.  I'll see you there.

If like me, you are struggling to sort out parenting in the modern culture, this book is for you. I have gained greater understanding of how to Biblically parent in a world that is so different than the one in which I grew up. Challenging material, but oh so good!

Welcoming Prayers

Sweet Friends in Blogland,

Hubby and I would sure appreciate your prayers this week.

After a long battle, Hubby's father walked quietly Friday into the presence of God Himself. I can only imagine the rejoicing voices of the saints as they celebrated another homecoming.

At the same time, knowing the truth of heaven doesn't make the pain completely disappear here on earth. We would greatly appreciate prayers for strength, perseverance, and safe travel for all family and friends. Most of all, would you please pray that God's love becomes undeniably real to all those left behind!

Thank you so much. You all are the best!

Kristen,
WE are sorry for your family's loss. I know he's in a better place. That doesn't make it easier but we will keep you in our prayers. The song was perfect.

What a perfect music video for you & your family. In memory of Jim. I was able to find Contemporary Music stations all the way home & since I was driving, I got to listen to them!!

Just a note to tell you all that Jim has been in my prayers as well as my best friend Marcia. Remember that you will see him again one day....and until that time he is always with you watching the boys grow up and rejoycing in the fact that you and your hubby (my little Kdg. student) are great parents and continuing in the way of the Lord.
Also, I'm amazed ....so impressed with your blog...blessings to you, Kristen!!
