    Tyndale House Publishers

Join with me this year as we read the Bible in chronological order.  This is not a book-by-book reading of the Bible, but instead follows the events in the Bible as they happened in history.

You may also want to visit Wendy Pope's blog with me.  She will be holding discussions each day about the material.  I'll see you there.

Authentic Parenting in a Postmodern Culture: Practical Help for Shaping Your Children's Hearts, Minds, and Souls
    by Mary E. DeMuth

If like me, you are struggling to sort out parenting in the modern culture, this book is for you. I have gained greater understanding of how to Biblically parent in a world that is so different than the one in which I grew up. Challenging material, but oh so good!

A Mother's Prayer

Dear Sweet Friends in Blogland,

May your day be as special as each of you are!  May you find comfort in the fact that God made you specifically for this time and this place, to love with the love that only He can give.  God will reach others with a mother's love through you, therefore making you a mom to everyone you meet.

So, Happy Mother's Day!

One of the greatest ways that we can share God's love with those around us is by praying for them.  I hope you enjoy this mother's prayer as much as I do.  Have a great weekend!

Yesterday God revealed to me that he hand-picked my mother just for me... before I was even born! I had never really thought about this. I've thought about God choosing me before I was born...but, never really thought about God hand-selecting my mother to carry me in her womb. He placed the two of us together for a reason. My mother is the one he chose for me to honor. When you think of this it makes Mother's Day even more special!
Thank you for reminding us that the best thing we can do for our mother's is to pray for them!
Happy Mother's Day, sweet friend! Lori
