My Faves

Below you will find a few goodies that I love to share.  By clicking on them, you will be taken to Amazon.com so you may purchase them!  Tired of your old CD's?  Need a good book to read during those few quiet moments?  Try these.  Happy listening and reading!

  • The One Year Chronological Bible NLT (One Year Bible: Nlt)
The One Year Chronological Bible NLT (One Year Bible: Nlt)
    Tyndale House Publishers

Join with me this year as we read the Bible in chronological order.  This is not a book-by-book reading of the Bible, but instead follows the events in the Bible as they happened in history.

You may also want to visit Wendy Pope's blog with me.  She will be holding discussions each day about the material.  I'll see you there.

  • Peace on Earth
    Peace on Earth
    by Casting Crowns

This CD is still my favorite Christmas collection of all times. If you are a fan of Casting Crowns, I know you won't be disappointed!

  • Glory in the Highest: Christmas Songs
Glory in the Highest: Christmas Songs
    by Chris Tomlin

This is my most recent find in Christmas CD's. Chris Tomlin, along with a beautiful choir, leads you into amazing worship through the singing of your Christmas favorites.

  • Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence
Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence
    by Sarah Young

If you are looking for a devotional for the new year, you won't want to miss this one. Written in the first person, you will see that Jesus is talking directly to you.

  • Authentic Parenting in a Postmodern Culture: Practical Help for Shaping Your Children's Hearts, Minds, and Souls
Authentic Parenting in a Postmodern Culture: Practical Help for Shaping Your Children's Hearts, Minds, and Souls
    by Mary E. DeMuth

If like me, you are struggling to sort out parenting in the modern culture, this book is for you. I have gained greater understanding of how to Biblically parent in a world that is so different than the one in which I grew up. Challenging material, but oh so good!

Smile and Hallelujah

I apologize for my tardiness in posting today.

To tell you the truth, I am exhausted and coming down off of an amazing Sunday.

Thank you to all the wonderful women at the Altenburg Zone LWML rally for making yesterday so special. I can't wait to get to know you even more as you visit the blog and as I return in November for Concordia's Advent by Candlelight. You are some very special women!

Because I am lacking in words today, and actually in voice, I am posting a great video sent to me. I hope you enjoy this version of the Hallelujah Chorus as much as I did!

Blessings on your Monday!

Hope you are doing better and that everyone in the family is feeling better. I had the awesome priviliege of hearing Mitch Albom speak tonight. His newest book is "Have a little
faith". He's a terrific speaker! What a blessing to hear him in person.
