    by Mary E. DeMuth

If like me, you are struggling to sort out parenting in the modern culture, this book is for you. I have gained greater understanding of how to Biblically parent in a world that is so different than the one in which I grew up. Challenging material, but oh so good!

Flu, Flu, Go Away, Come Again Some Other Day

Hey sweet friends. I am sorry I am without inspiring words today.

I am knee deep in preparing for a wonderful women's rally that I am presenting at this weekend, and Bird has come down with what is probably the flu (or at least something similar with coughing, fever, headache, and achiness). Ugh!!

Could you please pray for Christ's peace and healing to rule in this house today and this week? (Okay, and next week too. I have another women's rally on the 24th.)

As always, I know God uses these times of unexpected difficulties to remind us of our dependence on Him alone.

I know God is always faithful, in the midst of the chaos, to grant us small reassurances of His loving control, too.

For example, BigGuy ran into me accidentally on Sunday and broke my glasses. I am wearing taped up glasses and suffering from a sore ear and headache due to their uneven fit. Guess what the title of the presentation I am giving on Sunday is?

Drumroll, please.

"What is Your Focus? Finding 20/20 Vision." (I know. Are you smiling too?)

Thankfully, I now have stories to use that I never would have had if this craziness had not happened.

God is amazing!

Only He could orchestrate such good out of what initially appeared bad. He is so great.

By the way, I would love to pray for you! Please leave your prayer request in the comments section, and we can all rest easier knowing we are prayed for.

Blessings on your day!

I always say, "God has such a sense of humor!". So true for the Myer's family. If you need some help, I can send Ron over. Love you & praying for Sunday's talk & that the Holy Spirit touches all the women's hearts!!

Pray that my bronchitis is completely cleared if it is God's will, as I need to get back to Pulmonary Rehab & get stronger for the call.

Mike has it too. He has been sidelined for the rest of the week. I hope Bird feels better.
